As of the current regulations, citizens of the Russian Federation are eligible to enter Myanmar without a visa for a period of up to 30 days, under the mutual visa exemption agreement between the two countries. This visa-free policy is valid for entry until June 30, 2025, and applies to individuals entering Myanmar for tourism or business purposes.
Permitted Entry Points:
Airports: Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyidaw
Please note that the visa exemption is generally non-extendable beyond the 30-day period.
E-Visa Option
Should travelers require a longer stay, or prefer to secure their travel documents in advance, Myanmar also offers an electronic visa (e Visa) system:
Tourist e Visa: Valid for up to 28 days
Business e Visa: Valid for up to 70 days
Applications for e Visas can be submitted online through the official Myanmar e Visa portal.
Future Visa-Free Agreement
The governments of Myanmar and the Russian Federation are reportedly working toward a comprehensive mutual visa-free agreement, which may come into effect in September 2025. This would potentially formalize and extend visa-free travel provisions between the two countries.
